Albert’s background is in economic planning and strategic marketing. He holds an honours degree in public administration and economics and a master’s degree in economics specialising in tourism planning and development.
He has over 25 years’ experience in research, planning and advisory work, gained by practising in large corporate firms and in working for government. Since the inception of The Group, he has also worked as an independent consultant to a broad range of clients.
Albert has been involved in a variety of Master Planning, Feasibility and Market Demand Assessments involving the assessment of economic, environmental and social benefit costs and impacts.
Much of Albert’s work over the last 10 years has focused on cost benefit assessments and analysis for a variety of public and private sector clients. Albert has been involved in leading multi- disciplinary teams particularly involved in tourism
precinct development and often focused on waterfront upgrades to serve a number of land use requirements. He has worked for a range of clients including the NSW government, the New Zealand Government, regional councils in Australia and New Zealand and tourism representative bodies. The work has included a cross section of tourism planning, marketing policy and advice and urban planning and infrastructure analysis and strategising.
Albert has served on a number of boards, including the Board of Wairakei Tourist Park, New Zealand. He was also the Manager Policy Planning and Investment, for the New Zealand Tourism Board.
